Esther! Forget it. You are not qualified. Listen to Janet Street-Porter. Model of humility that she is, she knows she's not up to being an MP and neither are you.

Fortunately, there is someone else, more famous than both of you put together, who is qualified. As a political analyst with my finger on the pulse (although only because Alan Watkins was away last week), allow me to present the ideal candidate to clean up Parliament:

Katrina Amy Alexandria Alexis Price, parliamentary candidate for Stretford and Urmston in 2001. She stood under the slogan, "For a Bigger and Betta Future", promising free breast implants, more nudist beaches and an end to parking tickets.

I understand news values, I do. I have noticed that there is no other story on the front page of OK! magazine this week, no story but the world exclusive interview with Katie Price, Katie Andre until last week, which is carried for a restrained 35 pages inside.

Katie Price for Luton South. Go for it. She knows we want it.
